The program's mission is to enhance the qualifications and skills of individuals employed in the public sector in the South Carolina Lowcountry, to prepare pre-service students for careers in the public sector, and to prepare all students for the roles and responsibilities of the administrator in a democratic society.

The Master of Public Administration program finds it of the utmost importance to facilitate opportunites for networking, professional development, and career search. Please be sure to take advantage of all the opportunities that the program offers.

MPA Student Association

The MPASA exists to: 

  • Help students solidify and actualize their career goals through professional development
  • Support and assist students in their pursuit of academic excellence
  • Administer activities which allow students the opportunity to integrate themselves socially and professionally
  • Plan and execute service projects to help the community.

All MPASA executive board meetings are open meetings unless otherwise noted.  Closed meetings will only occur if sensitive content must be discussed between board members. To be part of MPASA, contact the MPA Program Coordinator.
